Call for Reviews for the 9th issue of Brújula: Revista Interdisciplinaria sobre Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad de California, Davis


Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to write a book review for the 9th issue of Brújula, an interdisciplinary journal that is published at the University of California, Davis. Our journal focuses on Latin American studies and seeks to foster a dialogue between established academics and a new generation of scholars, while including original essays from a variety of fields such as literature, linguistics, anthropology, history, music, and sociology.

With each issue, Brújula intends to highlight a theme of relevance in current debates. The topic of our forthcoming issue is the origin, process, current debate in relation to Central American Narratives. We are attaching the book list.
The books reviews that we publish are approximately two pages single-spaced (750-800 words) in length. It may be written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. If you choose to accept our invitation, we will provide you with specific guidelines. However, if you have a book in mind that you would like to review, we are glad to discuss it with you. In order to maintain our production schedule, we would need your text by April 5, 2011.
